We should survey

I also really like the idea of putting together a survey. Its a solid piece of research that we can call our own, which would nicely compliment our interviews. I can imagine some really good transitions which simply stated some interesting data to give context to an interview clip.

“Over 60% of  people felt disconnected from their community when they lost their job.”

or

“The number 1 reason people reported feeling connected to Asheville was through live music.”
